Job description

Description:

We are looking for a AV & LED Installation Technician to handle permanent installations of LED video walls, displays, and AV systems in commercial spaces. This position is hands-on, with responsibilities in installation, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has experience in low-voltage/electrical work and can ensure that systems are installed safely, professionally, and in compliance with all building and electrical codes.


Key Responsibilities


  • Install and mount LED walls, flat panels, projectors, and other commercial AV hardware.
  • Run conduit and structured cabling (Cat6, fiber, audio, video, and control).
  • Terminate, label, and test cables to industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot AV/LED systems during and after installation.
  • Configure and integrate AV systems (processors, switchers, control systems).
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local regulations.
  • Document installation details and provide handover to clients.
  • Respond to service calls and perform ongoing maintenance for installed systems.
Requirements:
  • Must have experience in commercial AV installation, electrical, or low-voltage work
  • Solid understanding of structured cabling and signal flow.
  • Hands on troubleshooting skills for AV and LED systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • State-recognized Low Voltage or Electrical License (or ability to work under a licensed contractor).
  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
  • Industry certifications (AVIXA CTS, Crestron, Extron, or similar) are a plus.
