Part Time Lecturer - School of Nursing, Graduate Courses

The School of Nursing in the Bouve College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University has developed a research-intensive teaching/learning environment for students and faculty. The faculty are a diverse and committed group of highly qualified professionals, nationally known and experienced in nursing practice, research, and education. The ultimate goal is to advance the School of Nursing’s position to one of the nation’s top research schools of nursing.

We offer graduate programs from bachelor’s through DNP and PhD degrees, responding to the healthcare needs of individuals and communities in the state, nation, and globally. The School of Nursing is committed to co‑creating an environment that promotes innovative ideas and strategies aimed at creating a more dignified patient‑family‑centered healthcare system.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking part‑time faculty to teach theoretical and/or clinical courses in the graduate nursing programs.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare lectures, course materials, examinations, and evaluate student performance.
  • Work under the direction of lead faculty for the course and hold office hours as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • A Master’s or doctorate is required depending on the degree of the course.
  • Five years of experience in a clinical setting within the chosen healthcare specialty and RN licensure in Massachusetts required.
  • Previous graduate‑level teaching experience is highly desirable.
