About the Role:
Join The Learning Tree in Wilmington, NC as an Afternoon Floater/Assistant Teacher! This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to support our dedicated team in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in daily classroom activities and routines.
  • Supervise and engage children during playtime and learning activities.
  • Support the implementation of age-appropriate educational programs.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Provide individual attention to children as needed to support their learning and development.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Assist with snack preparation and supervision.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education coursework preferred.
  • Previous experience in a childcare or educational setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements.
  • Must be available from 1pm to 5:30pm no exception to accommodate afternoon shifts.
