The Senior Manager of Associate Listening plays a critical role in advancing the associate experience at Albertsons Companies. This role leads enterprise-wide associate listening programs and transforms feedback into clear, actionable insights that inform talent strategies and leadership decision-making.

As the organization’s expert on associate voice, this leader is responsible for administering large-scale listening surveys, synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data, and translating findings into compelling narratives that drive engagement, performance, and growth. In addition to managing listening programs, this role partners closely with HR, Operations, and senior leaders to support broader talent initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Main responsibilities:

Associate Listening Strategy & Execution

  • Design, manage, and evolve enterprise associate listening programs, including engagement surveys, pulse surveys, lifecycle surveys, and ad hoc feedback mechanisms.
  • Serve as the end-to-end owner of survey administration, including planning, configuration, deployment, vendor management, and data governance.
  • Ensure listening programs are inclusive, accessible, and aligned to business priorities and associate needs.

Insights, Analytics & Storytelling

  • Analyze and synthesize large, complex datasets to uncover trends, root causes, and opportunities related to engagement, culture, performance, and retention.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leaders, HR partners, and business stakeholders.
  • Develop executive-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations that tell a compelling story and drive action at scale.

Leadership Partnership & Enablement

  • Partner with senior leaders and HR teams to interpret results and identify targeted actions that improve associate experience and business outcomes.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to leaders on best practices for acting on feedback and sustaining momentum over time.
  • Support enterprise change efforts by tracking progress, measuring impact, and closing the loop with associates.

Talent & Program Support

  • Contribute to broader talent-related initiatives, including engagement, performance, development, and retention programs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent, Benefits, Compensation, and Operations to align insights with enterprise strategies.
  • Apply listening insights to inform program design, prioritization, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in associate listening, employee experience, and people analytics.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance listening methodologies, analytics capabilities, and leader enablement.

Skills & Qualifications

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, Analytics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in associate/employee experience, people analytics, organizational research, or related roles.
  • Proven experience designing and managing large-scale listening or survey programs in a complex, multi-site organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders.
  • Experience in retail, grocery, or other large frontline-based organizations preferred.
  • Familiarity with survey platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Glint, Culture Amp, Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise talent or HR programs preferred.
