Job description

Position Summary:

This role involves supporting time-sensitive proofreading requests within a fast-paced direct mail production environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and timely project completion.


Essential Functions:
  • Proofread complex client mail documents meticulously, comparing word-for-word against original files, including letter copy, graphics, color matches, and other media assets to ensure exact alignment with customer requirements.
  • Verify images for correct sizing, coloring, and placement in the final proof.
  • Perform various administrative tasks related to each project, such as:
    • Downloading and managing art assets from clients.
    • Reviewing print artwork from clients
    • Organizing and documenting job information.
    • Tracking and documenting errors for quality control.
    • Logging completed jobs and letter copy into our job system.
  • Providing Content Developers with quality-checked copy.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Supervisor to resolve issues.
  • Assist in setting up InDesign layouts for Content Developers.
  • Support the setup of WFD (Word Flow Designer) programs to align text and images accurately.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, clear, and complete before final approval
  • Assist with copy editing, including but not limited to grammar, punctuation, and syntax. Flag errors.
  • Off-hours support when required.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Essential:
  • Proven proofreading skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work through complex document markups and instructions in a timely manner to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize various requests and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient with computers and adaptable to learning new applications.
  • Familiarity with Quadient, (GMC) & InDesign software programs is a plus
