Job description


The main role of the Learning Assistant in Biology courses will be to support student engagement and learning. Learning assistants will support students enrolled in the course with course content and assignments. Learning assistants will answer student questions, model techniques, moderate student discussions, and answer questions about assignments or laboratory activities. Learning assistant positions are routinely available for the following courses: Fundamentals of Biology, Principles of Biology, Tardigrade Research Experience, and Genetics.
We do give preference to students who have either previously taken, or will be enrolled in the Learning Assistants Practicum in Biology course (BIOL 28000, 1 credit).
Pay Rate: $15.50/hr
