Under the supervision of the Director of Organizational Development and Learning, the Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the delivery of training, internal consulting activities, providing project management support and process improvements for the Institute for Excellence (IFE). This position is responsible for supporting the documentation and evaluation of training activities. The role requires the ability to collaborate with the IFE team to deliver training and talent development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support on design/development of training solutions and programs for the health system.
  • Support internal/external projects with guidance from Director.
  • Support efforts to assess and measure effectiveness of learning initiatives and ROI.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Consultants to deliver OD and training services to managers and employees of YNHHS.
  • Assist in all talent management activities as assigned.
  • Conduct research to be used in implementing new professional development programming.
  • Prepare correspondence, summary reports, and other documents in support of projects.
  • Support the design and development of materials for the department including those for training program.
  • Assist internal consultants on facilitations/coaching/consulting with individual employees, teams/departments, leadership, etc.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of innovations and program enhancements that will improve customer satisfaction, program effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal employees and leadership as well as external organizations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • MA or MS Degree required, with major coursework in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Organizational Psychology, Instructional Management or Organizational Development.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 to 3 years of related experience. Demonstrated success supporting the development of a learning culture. Demonstrated experience in basic project management. Successful implementation of project assignments

  • Knowledge: Knowledge of how organizations function. Understand the diversity of customer needs in order to exceed expectations. Understand
    basic project management process. General knowledge of HR, OD/OE and Talent Management.
