Role Summary

The Sr. Specialist, Learning & Development (L&D) is a pivotal role within the Talent Optimization team. This position serves as the administrator for the firm's Learning Management System (LMS), Cornerstone.  The Sr. Specialist manages the implementation, configuration, and tracking of learning programs across the firm.  Through strong partnerships with Leadership & Career Development managers, this role influences the digital learning experience for associates globally. This role will follow a hybrid work model with 3 days/week onsite in our Owings Mills, MD office and flexibility for 2 days/week from home.

Key Responsibilities

LMS Administration, Troubleshooting, and Consultation

  • Manage the Cornerstone LMS, including building assignment groups, configuring learning assignments, and managing enrollment and reminder emails.

  • Create dashboards for stakeholders to track completions and identify associates who are past due or out of compliance.

  • Review, recommend, and test new functionalities in support of Cornerstone's quarterly releases.

  • Serve as the main POC for technical issues with Cornerstone, logging tickets and working towards resolution.

  • Consult on the execution of new programs, providing governance around learner experience, notifications, reporting, and system functionality.

  • Monitor the LMS mailbox, providing support, education, and troubleshooting to associates at all levels of the organization.

  • Triage, prioritize, and respond to a high volume of support requests within established SLAs.


Required Learning
  • Configure all components of required learning (course availability, learning assignment, notification, etc.)

  • Monitor completions and execute required learning escalation process to achieve 100% completion on all firmwide required learning.

  • Ensure compliance with learning record retention requirements by retaining necessary files in AdMaster, including FINRA-related materials and sign-in sheets.


Instructor-Led Training Support
  • Create and support instructor-led training events, including session setup, material and catering orders, and integration with Degreed Learning Experience Platform (LXP).

  • Monitor registrations and waitlists, recommending session adjustments to facilitators or program managers as needed.

  • Manage the training room calendar, scheduling rooms for Learning & Development as well as business use.

  • Maintain the training rooms and storage space (e.g. scheduling cleaning of rooms, clearing out old supplies as needed, etc.)


Online Course Management
  • Add appropriate metadata to online courses, materials, and videos, and integrate with Degreed LXP.

  • Package multiple learning objects into curricula, configuring prerequisites and completion order as applicable.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 4+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven experience with Cornerstone or a similar Learning Management System.

  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle high volumes of inquiries.

  • Experience with Degreed Learning Experience Platform (LXP) is a plus.

  • Experience with vendor management is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and systems thinking mindset.

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.

  • Stays abreast of evolving learning technologies.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of record retention requirements.

  • Ability to update and maintain training materials and documentation.
