Our HR team plays a key role in supporting our mission by attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent across our diverse businesses.
Primarily based in Obetz, OH, the HR Business Partner is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Human Resources function in our high-volume Central Ohio Operations facilities and assigned corporate functions. The HRBP will serve as a trusted partner to leaders and employees across multiple brands and locations. This role performs a broad range of responsibilities including employee relations, learning and development, talent acquisition support, performance management, compliance, and HRIS data integrity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging workplace environment.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and follow-up action planning.

Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution
  • Serve as the first point of contact for business leaders and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and manage investigations with fairness.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and foster open communication.

Compliance & Policy Management
  • Ensures legal compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
  • Upholds consistency in the interpretation and administration of policies.
  • Educates business partners on employment laws.
  • Promotes safety in the workplace.
  • Conducts assessment of incidents in partnership with the EHSS team and directs reporting procedures, mandatory drug/alcohol testing and investigation process.

Performance Management
  • Support the performance evaluation and feedback process
  • Provide coaching to managers on goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.

Learning & Development
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
  • Identify training needs and deliver learning programs that support professional growth.

Workforce Planning
  • Partner with department heads to forecast hiring needs and develop workforce plans.
  • Manage seasonal recruiting partnerships and oversite with agency partners.

Onboarding & Offboarding
  • Deliver comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Ensure seamless exit processes, including knowledge transfer and exit interviews.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field (e.g. Business, Organizational Communication, Industrial Psychology) preferred or equivalent. SPHR/PHR preferred.
  • 5+ years of HR experience required, preferably in a high-volume distribution/manufacturing environment.
  • A strong track record of successful project management required.
  • Professional maturity and demeanor, strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities, drive results and work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships.
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations and legal compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience with human resources software systems.
  • Professionalism to work with confidential information.
  • Ability to comply with Food Safety Regulation when out on the operations' floor as regulated by SQF.
