Job description

ADP is hiring a Director of Learning & Leader Development Facilitation

  • Do you have a gift for facilitating exceptional learning and leadership development programs?
  • Are you intrigued by developing other facilitators to deliver top quality client experiences?
  • Are you constantly exploring new ways to help organizations achieve their leadership and talent development goals?
  • Does building consulting offerings to support client talent development needs energize you?

Well, this may be the role for you. Ready to make your mark?

ADP is hiring a Director of Learning & Leader Development Facilitation to serve as the Head of Facilitation for our StandOut learning and leader development business while partnering with Advisory leadership to evolve leader effectiveness consulting across Talent Solutions.

Grounded in decades of research on engagement and performance, our technology, coaching, consulting, and education offerings help organizations build more teams like their best teams. This role ensures that our facilitated learning experiences remain differentiated, scalable, and strategically aligned with the future of leadership development.

This role is recognized as subject matter expert and strategic leader within ADP Talent Solutions, serving as a practitioner and enterprise practice leader - driving facilitation excellence, faculty leadership, and the continued evolution of leader development consulting across Talent Solutions. As StandOut's lead Principal Facilitator, you will guide and develop a global faculty community while delivering high-impact leadership experiences for clients. You will partner closely with Advisory, Talent Relationship, Operations, and Talent Insights & Content teams to shape learning strategies, strengthen client adoption, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery at scale while also anticipating market, client and organizational needs and translating them into scalable leader development facilitation and consulting strategies. This role has broad impact across Talent Solutions, influencing facilitation strategy, advisory integration, product evolution, and client outcomes at scale.

You will balance hands-on facilitation with strategic influence - from leading executive workshops and certifying facilitators to advising clients on leader effectiveness and contributing to the development of new advisory offerings. Success in this role requires deep expertise, strategic foresight, and the ability to solve complex, ambiguous challenges that have broad business impact and support modern, global learners.

To thrive in this position, you bring at least 12 years of professional facilitation experience across frontline and executive audiences, along with demonstrated experience developing other facilitators. StandOut Principal Facilitator certification - or readiness to achieve it - is strongly preferred. You have a strong foundation in leadership development and professional coaching methodologies, the ability to connect learning experiences to business outcomes, and a passion for helping organizations activate talent through strengths-based approaches.

What you'll do:

Lead and Elevate the Facilitation Practice (Head of Facilitation)

  • Serve as the leadership owner of ADP's facilitation ecosystem - selecting, onboarding, developing, and supporting facilitators and Principal Facilitators.
  • Maintain the integrity and quality of StandOut certifications, workshops, and learning delivery experiences.
  • Act as the single leadership point of continuity for facilitation across clients, faculty, operations, and content teams.
  • Partner with LD Operations to ensure facilitator readiness, utilization, and delivery excellence at scale.
  • Oversee quality assurance of facilitated experiences by reviewing feedback, delivery recaps, and participant insights to inform continuous improvement.
  • Define and evolve the strategic direction of the facilitation practice
  • Recommend and implement practice-wide innovations in delivery, certification, and faculty models
  • Influence resource allocation, faculty strategy, and capability development priorities

Facilitate and Deliver Transformational Learning Experiences

  • Deliver executive and frontline leadership programs, certifications, webinars, and keynote events.
  • Serve as a Principal Facilitator and trusted advisor to clients on leadership and learning strategies.
  • Lead and deliver high-impact, complex engagements that require advanced facilitation, consulting, and executive advisory capabilities, often involving senior stakeholders and ambiguous problem spaces.

Partner with Advisory to Advance Leader Development Consulting

  • Collaborate with Advisory leadership to shape and evolve Leader Effectiveness consulting offerings.
  • Translate practitioner insights into scalable advisory methodologies and frameworks.
  • Support consulting engagements that integrate strengths-based leadership, performance, and talent activation.
  • Help bridge delivery insights with broader advisory strategy to ensure solutions are grounded in real client experience.
  • Solve novel, ambiguous, and high-risk client challenges using conceptual and innovative approaches.
  • Shape enterprise-level consulting methodologies.

Contribute to Product Innovation and Learning Strategy

  • Represent the facilitation voice in program design, certification evolution, and content development.
  • Collaborate with Talent Insights, Content, and Product teams to refine learning journeys and modern learning experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve leader development offerings based on client needs and facilitation trends.
  • Drive innovation across leader development offerings by identifying unmet client needs and partnering with product development teams to translate them into scalable solutions
  • Partner with Talent Insights, Content, and Product teams to influence roadmap direction based on practitioner insight and market dynamics

Strengthen the Talent Solutions Ecosystem

  • Partner with Talent Relationship, Advisory, Operations, and Content teams to deliver cohesive client experiences.
  • Support strategic sales opportunities by articulating the value of strengths-based leadership and leader development consulting and advising on proposed solutions.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and practice growth.

Strategic Impact & Influence

  • Anticipates internal and external business challenges and market and regulatory trends; proactively develops solutions and strategic responses
  • Influences senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to adopt new approaches and perspectives
  • Communicates complex ideas clearly, anticipating resistance and driving alignment
  • Shapes decisions impacting program direction, investment priorities, and service delivery models

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

You are a highly experienced facilitation leader who thrives at the intersection of leadership development methodologies, theory and trends, talent consulting, and innovation. You bring deep practitioner expertise and enjoy developing others while shaping the future of leader development.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of experience in leadership development and facilitation
  • 7+ years of experience in leadership development consultation
  • Recognized as an expert in leadership development, learning design and facilitation methodologies and practices

  • Experience leading large-scale, high-risk, or highly visible initiatives
  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience shaping strategy, not just executing within it
  • Experience overseeing or developing other facilitators
  • Exceptional storytelling, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, accessible consulting experiences for practitioners
  • Certified professional coach (ICF-ACC or equivalent)
  • Leads initiatives with significant complexity, ambiguity, and organizational impact
  • Operates with high autonomy under broad functional guidance
  • Experience translating practitioner insight into scalable, enterprise-ready solutions that drive measurable business impact

Other things that will set you apart:

  • StandOut Debrief Certified
  • Certified StandOut Strengths Facilitator in one or more programs (SO Team Member, SO Team Leader, Coaching Essentials for Team Leaders)
  • StandOut Principal Facilitator certification
  • Affinity with strengths-based leadership approaches
  • Experience building or delivering consulting offerings
  • Instructional design or content development collaboration experience
  • Experience innovating learning approaches for modern, global audiences
  • Conceptual and innovative thinking
  • Non-linear problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to design new approaches where no precedent exists
  • Agility in addressing unexpected obstacles or changes needed to deliver facilitated experiences with excellence
