Process Development (PD and MSAT) Leadership Track
Job Title - Scientist II to Sr. Scientist I, Process Development
A total of 24-month rotation with 1st rotation for 12 months in the U.S., followed by two or three rotations for 3-6 months each. One of the rotations will be in China. Specific rotation plans can be customized.

Job Summary
The Global Emerging Leaders Program (GELP) is a 2-year rotational leadership development program designed to cultivate future business and technical leaders within WuXi Biologics. Participants gain hands-on experience through cross-functional rotations, strategic project work, and exposure to global operations. Mentorship by director level and above senior leaders throughout the rotations. Candidates who successfully complete the program will be offered to join WuXi Biologics global network (not limited to the U.S. site) as management at levels ranging from Manager to Associate Director.
The Process Development track focuses on developing and scaling biologics processes from early-stage development through commercial manufacturing, ensuring robust, scalable, and compliant processes. Drive continuous improvement in the lab setting. Lead innovation projects.
Job Responsibilities
  • Participate in the regular PD works to master the laboratory small-scale PD, pilot scale process scale-up, technology transfer to GMP facility, and process characterization
  • Summarize and analyze development data into high quality information package and/or report to master data collection, summary, analysis, interpretation and presentation
  • Lead and support strategic key DS process development and internal innovation projects, analyze data, and present recommendations
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality to ensure process robustness
  • Engage in leadership development and mentorship programs

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Chemical engineering, Biomolecular Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field with 0-2-year work experience.
  • Understand and/or experience with biologics process development preferred.
  • Strong data analysis and experimental design skills.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence.
  • Understanding of process scale-up and validation preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and participate in global rotations (if applicable).
  • May require some evening work hours and conference call time to meet global team time zones.
