The Bank Product Leader serves as a key strategic leader responsible forshaping the vision and execution of the bank's product portfolio. Through a strong cross-functional and collaborative approach, thisrole ensures product strategies are aligned with market dynamics, regulatoryrequirements, customer expectations, and the bank's long-term goals.
By leveraginginternal analytics and external market insights, this role ensures continuousimprovement in product performance and profitability. This position championsinnovation through the incorporation of emerging technologies and bestpractices while maintaining a rigorous focus on compliance and risk mitigation.This role also plays a vital part in fostering enterprise-wide collaborationand alignment across departments, serving as a conduit between seniorleadership, product teams, and external partners.
This position maysupport one or more lines of business and encompass multiple specializations.
Essential Functions:
  • Strategic Leadership: Leads the development and execution of long-term product strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversees the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and development through launch, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Digital Product Integration: Drives integration of digital capabilities into products and platforms; maintains and prioritizes a roadmap of enhancements and collaborates with Transformation and Technology teams on implementation.
  • Sales and Marketing Enablement: Partners with sales, marketing, finance, and business leaders to develop marketing plans and sales enablement tools that enhance banker adoption and customer acquisition.
  • Customer-Centric Innovation: Gathers and interprets customer feedback and market intelligence to guide product enhancements and elevate the overall customer experience.
  • Performance Analytics and Financial Management: Monitors key performance indicators and budgetary outcomes for the product portfolio; uses insights to recommend adjustments to strategies or offerings.
  • Regulatory and Risk Oversight: Ensures products comply with regulatory and internal policy requirements; works closely with Legal, Risk, and Compliance to address regulatory changes and proactively manage risk.
  • Third-Party and Vendor Management: Collaborates with Procurement and other internal teams to manage vendor relationships and contracts critical to product delivery and support.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Provides leadership for cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects that impact multiple lines of business; ensures alignment with bank-wide objectives.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provides direct and indirect leadership for team members supporting assigned product lines. Encourages professional development, fosters collaboration, and promotes accountability.
  • This position may require travel within the Bank's geographic area.

Experience & Education:
  • 7-10 years of experience in product management, product development, or a related field, ideally within financial services.
  • Experience leading the development of deposit products, including pricing, profitability analysis, and digital delivery, preferred.
  • Experience managing go-to-market strategies for both consumer and business banking products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • MBA or relevant graduate-level education is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in product management, banking, or financial services are preferred.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and execution skills.
  • Strong solution-oriented business acumen, including financial modeling, pricing strategy, and ROI analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial services and banking products, with an emphasis on deposit products and digital integration.
  • Strong vendor management experience, including contract negotiation and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and indirect teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Proven track record of managing complex product portfolios and launching new products.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements affecting deposit and transaction products (e.g., Truth in Savings Act, Regulation DD, BSA/AML, and consumer protection laws).
  • Experience in developing and managing relationship management platforms and CRM solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency in platform delivery systems, core banking applications, and product roadmap tools.
