Senior or Lead Project Management Specialist

Company:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Project Management Specialist to join our growing Patriot Advance Capability (PAC-3) program across the portfolio in Huntsville, Alabama.

Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible for being the program lead integrator through multi-year factory optimization & rearrangement
  • Responsible for scope execution (cost, technical, and schedule), briefings, tag-ups, and events in support of program requirements
  • Integrates all internal and external stakeholders to complete the project scope
  • Scope includes but is not limited to planning, procurement, coordination, customer approvals, and first article execution
  • Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 5 years of experience managing projects or programs
  • More than 5 years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion
  • Experience preparing executive-level briefings
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Senior Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Lead Level 5: More than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • More than 5 years of experience leading cross functional teams
  • More than 5 years of experience in change management, program planning, project management, integrated scheduling, Industrial Engineering or Business Operations
  • More than 5 years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience in production facility optimization / rearrangement
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Typical Education/Experience:

Senior Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.

Lead Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.
