Job description

Lab Technician – Laboratory Operations- Flagstaff, AZWe are seeking a self-motivated Lab Technician to join our Laboratory Operations team. In this role, you will prepare batches of samples by receiving and sorting urine and oral fluid specimens at your assigned workstation. The Lab Technician is responsible for reading and scanning Chain of Custody (CoC) forms, ordering applicable tests in the system, and applying barcoded labels to ensure samples are properly prepared for the testing process.Shift: Various shift schedules availablePay Rate: $18.50 per hourShift Differential: Additional $2.00/hour for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AMPrimary ResponsibilitiesPerform routine operations including opening sample bags, creating accessions and batches, ordering proper test(s), and applying barcode labelsScan Chain of Custody (CoC) forms, ensuring proper orientation and clear, reproducible documentsVerify proper aliquot volume; may be required to hand-pour aliquots using bulb pipettesIdentify and separate samples requiring additional attentionEnter client and donor information, noting any deficiencies after Team Lead sign-offAssist with transporting batches to other departments and placing or retrieving samples from freezer storage while maintaining proper chain of custodyFollow all laboratory policies and procedures and adhere to health and safety standardsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperience working in a laboratory or high-volume production environment preferredAbility to interpret and follow complex written instructions requiredStrong attention to detail requiredAbility to work independently and communicate effectively in a team environment requiredData entry skills (alpha and numeric keyboarding) requiredStrong hand-eye coordination requiredAbility to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend, and carry as neededBenefitsCordant supports employees by offering a comprehensive benefits package to eligible staff (per state regulations), including:Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) • Health Savings Accounts (HSA) • Paid Time Off (PTO) beginning Day 1 • Volunteer Time Off (VTO) • Paid Holidays • 401(k) with Company Match • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD) • Company-Paid Basic Life Insurance #LAB123 #J-18808-Ljbffr
