Job description

Now Hiring: Director of Core Systems

We're seeking a Director of Core Systems to be the primary owner and subject matter expert for the Bank's Jack Henry Silverlake Core Banking System and related Jack Henry and Finastra applications. You'll be responsible for the administration, optimization, maintenance, testing, and strategic enhancement of the Bank's core processing and lending technology environment.

Additionally, you'll serve as a strategic partner to Marketing in the development, configuration, implementation, and launch of new banking products and services that support the Bank's growth objectives, customer experience goals, and operational efficiency initiatives.

What You'll Contribute:

Core Banking Systems Administration

  • Be the primary administrator and SME for Jack Henry and Finastra applications.
  • Own the implementation of Jack Henry's Enterprise Workflow Solutions.
  • Maintain core parameters, product setups, system configurations, business rules, and operational settings.
  • Own user security, access administration, and related system controls in coordination with IT.
  • Coordinate Silverlake releases, upgrades, patches, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, changes, testing, and recurring administrative activities.
  • Own loan and deposit product creation and development through system configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure customer experience and bank growth objectives can be supported within the Bank's core systems.
  • Lead core system data conversions and validations.

Compliance, Risk, and Security

  • Ensure system administration practices comply with Bank policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit requests, examinations, compliance reviews, and operational control testing.
  • Participate in disaster recovery exercises and business continuity planning for critical banking systems.
  • Maintain strong access controls, segregation of duties, and change management practices within core and lending systems.
  • Assist with SOX, cybersecurity, vendor management, and operational risk control activities as required.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent banking experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering a core banking platform; 5+ years of Jack Henry SilverLake administration experience preferred.
  • Prior experience managing system implementations, upgrades, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Preferred experience with Jack Henry and Finastra applications.
