You will collaborate with a skilled group of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, all working together to provide comprehensive care to our patients at the hospice center.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Gotham Enterprises, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to identify the individual needs of patients and their families, ensuring treatment plans are tailored to address specific challenges associated with terminal illness.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to support patients in managing emotional distress and navigate end-of-life issues.
• Maintaining meticulous clinical documentation, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and organizational standards to safeguard patient confidentiality.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration with fellow treatment team members to create a cohesive care plan that integrates physical, emotional, and spiritual support for patients.
• Providing education and resources to patients and their families regarding coping strategies, mental health issues, and available community resources that can enhance their quality of life.
• Participating in regular case consultations and peer reviews to promote continuous improvement and ensure high standards of care are met.

You will predominantly work with patients in hospice care, many of whom face significant psychological and emotional challenges as they navigate their end-of-life journey. Your expertise will be essential in empowering these individuals and their families, offering compassionate support, and ensuring that they receive the emotional care needed during this difficult time.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Massachusetts.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on providing therapeutic support to individuals with serious illnesses.
• Proficient knowledge in solution-based interventions and psychotherapeutic techniques.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.
• Ability to work both independently and as a part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

• Experience in hospice care or working with terminally ill patients.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for clinical documentation and patient management.
• Continued professional development through workshops or certifications related to bereavement counseling and grief support.
