Job Overview
The Associate Bioanalytical Scientist III performs laboratory-based bioanalytical testing, including biological sample processing, data review, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards. This role supports laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, and continuous process improvement in a collaborative environment.
The successful candidate independently performs LC-MS/MS method validation and sample analysis for large molecule assays, supports method development and troubleshooting, and provides technical guidance and training to junior laboratory staff. This position plays an important role in delivering high-quality bioanalytical data that supports pharmaceutical and biotechnology drug development.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations
  • Perform daily bioanalytical laboratory activities, including biological sample processing and analysis.
  • Prepare laboratory solutions, reagents, and study materials.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies, documentation, and SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety policies, GLP, GCP, company SOPs, and study requirements.
  • Support laboratory organization, equipment maintenance, and efficient operations.

Bioanalytical Responsibilities
  • Independently perform LC-MS/MS bioanalytical method validation and sample analysis for large molecules in compliance with ICH M10 and regulatory guidelines.
  • Investigate analytical issues, troubleshoot instrumentation, and assist with method development.
  • Prepare study datasets, review analytical documentation, and support equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Participate in laboratory process improvement initiatives.

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Train and mentor Associate Bioanalytical Scientist I and II staff.
  • Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to support successful study execution.
  • Foster positive, professional working relationships across the organization.

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline with 2-3 years of relevant bioanalytical laboratory experience; OR
  • Master of Science in a related field with 1-2 years of relevant experience; OR
  • PhD in a relevant scientific discipline with 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations, including 21 CFR Parts 11 and 58.
  • Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) regulations.
  • Familiarity with International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines, including ICH M10.
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and scientific problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy, quality, and productivity.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience operating Sciex LC-MS/MS instrumentation.
  • Working knowledge of Watsonโ„ข Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Experience applying FDA and ICH bioanalytical method validation guidelines.
  • Experience with large molecule bioanalysis, including peptides, ADCs, oligonucleotides, and biomarkers.
