Local, Class B Driver drives, loads, and unloads any van, pick-up truck, and straight truck, and utilizes various material handling devices/equipment as necessary to move, transport, and deliver non hazmat aerospace and defense material and equipment Routes cover locations throughout the Raytheon El Segundo campus, but may also include other offsite locations, including, but not limited to, LAX, Fullerton, Pt. Mugu, China Lake, Palmdale, and Buena Park. Driver will begin and end each shift (same day) at the El Segundo campus. No long haul/interstate deliveries included. **1st Shift: Start time to be determined. Shift start is planned to be during 1st shift hours (6am-11am Start) Location: El Segundo, California. This is an onsite position. What You Will Do: * Truck driver duties may involve the use of dollies, fork-lifts, chains, straps, bars, and other material handling equipment as required.
* utilize handheld scanners in support of material movement tracking updates.
* coordinate with other personnel, including truck drivers, expeditors, and management in support of work activities and customer requirements.
* incidental expediting delivery duties (from truck to lab) to ensure completion to schedule. Qualifications You Must Have: * High School Diploma or GED
* Valid Class B Combo driver's license with satisfactory driving record
* Air Brake Endorsement
* The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance after the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer: * Commitment to Safety and all company safety rules and regulations
* Capable of regularly lifting 25 pounds and pushing/pulling pallet jacks and other material handling devices with higher weight capacity.
* Ability to obtain certification for safe operation of material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
* Experiential knowledge of securing loads within vehicles using chains, straps, bars, and other material handling equipment.
* Foundational knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations, including, but not limited to: Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR's), Hours of Service Logs (HOS), and Driver Qualification Records (DQ).

The hourly range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
