Job description

We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to support a busy automotive organization in Miami Lakes, Florida. This Long-term Contract position is fully on-site and offers the opportunity to manage a broad range of legal matters, from research and policy development to contract review and litigation support. The role is well suited for a licensed attorney who can work independently, handle a high volume of matters, and provide practical guidance across civil and business-related issues.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct legal research on newly enacted laws and regulations to evaluate business impact and recommend appropriate action
• Prepare and revise internal policies, formal correspondence, and legal responses related to customer complaints and claims
• Review incidents involving customer injuries at dealership locations and help coordinate the legal response
• Support employment-related and discrimination matters by assessing risk, organizing documentation, and assisting with case strategy
• Partner with external counsel by gathering records, drafting materials, and helping manage active litigation matters
• Respond to subpoenas and other legal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
• Examine, draft, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including commercial, vendor, and lease-related contracts
• Provide legal support for dealership acquisitions and other high-volume business transactions
• Assist with foreclosure, lending, and general business law matters as needed

• Active license to practice law and at least 3 years of relevant legal experience; preferred Florida licensed

• Background in civil litigation with the ability to draft motions and other legal documents

• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, including vendor and lease agreements

• Knowledge of general business law, lending matters, and foreclosure-related issues

• Ability to prepare clear and accurate correspondence, legal responses, and policy documentation

• Experience handling consumer complaints, subpoenas, and litigation support activities

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a substantial volume of legal work in an on-site environment
