Lawn Ranger is a long established in the metro area specializing in commercial lawn care and landscaping dating back to the 1980’s. We are currently seeking a highly experienced field-working manager for our fertilizer/pesticide program. In this role you will be responsible for managing our fertilizer/pesticide program and applying products on our customers’ properties as well as assisting with winter operations as an optional year long position.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Valid applicator license or ability to study for and pass the test before spring
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, Federal DOT Medical card
  • Minnesota Department of Agriculture Fertilizer Applicator License
  • Customer service with a horticulture background
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of different fertilizers, fungicides, and herbicides
  • Knowledge of calibration and mixing of products
  • Able to read and understand English, Spanish speaking a plus
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently and comply with all federal, state, local, and company regulations regarding the application of pesticides and fertilizer
  • Be organized and familiar with computers

Responsibilities

  • Manage our fertilizer/pesticide program including scheduling jobs and product inventory
  • Load lawn care products and tools into truck daily
  • Complete daily tasks independently and efficiently
  • Assist in other roles when necessary, including snow removal, landscaping, lawn mowing, grounds care, and shop organization

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+lbs repeatedly and walk several miles each day
  • Experience operating fertilizing equipment such as a Z-spray or Toro Spray Master
  • Safely handle walking on uneven ground and hillsides
