The Opportunity:


The Laundry Aide performs various laundry duties associated with providing residents with the required laundry service. The Laundry Aide assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.
What Is In It For You:


Sorts and separates items to be laundered in accordance with laundering requirements.
Operates automatic washing machines, dryers, irons and sewing machine.
Hand irons and folds/hangs garments after laundering.
Performs simple mending and repairs.
Transports laundered garments to appropriate floors.
Ensures proper identification of all personal clothing.
Maintains a clean work environment, dusting and washing equipment and shelves as required.
Maintains appropriate level of supplies (e.g. soap, bleach, fabric softener and thread).
Cleans work area upon completion of shift.
What You Will Need:


Previous experience in a laundry operation is preferred.
Must understand the basics of good laundry techniques/practices.
A minimum of public-school education is required. Grade 12 Diploma preferred.
Must be able to read, write and follow oral instructions.

Salary Range: $20.37 - $21.66 per hourSalary placement based on qualifications and experience.
