Neighbors Health Center in Byron, IL, seeks a Dayshift Part-Time Laundry Aide.

Responsibilities of the Part Time Laundry Aide:

  • Wash, dry, fold, iron, distribute or deliver linen or residents' clothing

  • Sort laundry as appropriate

  • Transfer laundered items, in sanitized container, to dryers

  • Fold and stack dried items in proper order

  • Iron items as necessary

  • Clean and disinfect floors, appliances, folding tables, delivery carts and other laundry areas

  • Ensure proper storage of supplies

Requirements of the Part Time Laundry Aide:
  • Some experience with commercial laundry preferred

  • Experience in a long-term care or healthcare laundry department a plus

  • Must be able to speak, read and understand English

  • Personable and professional with staff and residents

  • Must be able to pass a background check
