Part-Time Laundry Aide (Weekends)

Mission Valley Post Acute

Schedule: Part-Time, Weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
Pay: $18.00-$18.54 per hour

Join Our Team

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure our residents have clean, well-maintained linens and personal clothing while supporting a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available for resident care and comfort.

  • Inspect linens and remove damaged or stained items from service.

  • Collect residents' laundry daily or as needed.

  • Label new residents' clothing as needed.

  • Sort, treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens.

  • Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms promptly and accurately.

  • Follow all infection control, sanitation, and laundry procedures.

  • Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing.

  • Operate laundry equipment safely and according to facility procedures.

  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Administrator.

  • Assist with general housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned to help maintain a clean, sanitary, and odor-free environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry carts and supplies.

  • Reliable attendance and a positive, resident-focused attitude.
