Job description

Laundry Aide Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Clean and complete laundry services for approximately 14-16 resident apartments daily.
  • Strip bed linens and remove all laundry from resident rooms.
  • Collect and transport residents' laundry, including clothing, linens, laundry baskets, hangers, detergent, dryer sheets, and other laundry-related items provided by the resident.
  • Sort and process each resident's laundry separately to ensure items remain individualized and organized.
  • Wash, dry, fold, and hang clothing and linens as appropriate.
  • Return clean laundry to resident rooms and put away items in designated closets, drawers, or storage areas.
  • Make beds and assist the housekeeping team as needed.

Teamwork Expectations:

  • Housekeeping and laundry staff work collaboratively to ensure apartments are cleaned and laundry is completed on the same day whenever possible.
  • Assist team members with additional housekeeping duties as needed to maintain community cleanliness and resident satisfaction.

Friday Responsibilities:

  • Complete any missed apartment cleanings from the week.
  • Perform common area and building cleaning tasks.
  • Shampoo carpets as assigned.
  • Clean and prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
  • Assist with other housekeeping projects as directed.
