ABOUT OUR ROLE

The Laundry Attendant creates a memorable experience for our guests by ensuring quality and cleanliness throughout the guest journy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inspect cleanliness of articles and remove them from the washer, dryer and place in clean linen carts.
  • Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in the load.
  • Remove articles from the dryer when the cycle is complete.
  • Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, drain trap after each load.
  • Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes, either by hand or using the folding machine.
  • Operate washing machinery in accordance with Trailborn standards.
  • Follow hazardous material management program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, use Material Safety Data Sheets, etc.
  • Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE) and employ the correct lifting procedures, as necessary to avoid injury.
  • Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash and discard.
  • Complete all daily and shift related checklists.
  • Exhibit a friendly, helpful, learning, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Problem solving skills with the ability to navigate complex situations, address guest complaints and find solutions promptly.
  • Customer Oriented Attitude exhibiting a friendly, professional demeanor, focused on creating a welcoming atmosphere to the entire work environment.
  • Knowledgeable having a quest to learn, be well-informed about the area, services, events, pricing, and promotional offerings

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Must be able to remain upright continuously on a firm surface for an 8–10-hour shift.
  • Must be able to move at least 20 pounds up to 5 feet high without another person's aid.
  • Must be able to ascend to 6 feet in height on a step ladder.
  • Must be able to position oneself appropriately to efficiently make beds, carry trash, vacuum, sweep, dust and be able to assist guests with luggage and set up event rooms
