Job description

Launch Operator / Marine Facilities Technician opportunity at Pequot Yacht Club

The ideal candidates are reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, member-focused environment. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Prior hospitality, boating, or club experience is preferred.

MUST have Valid U.S. Coast Guard Limited Master’s Launch License or higher.

  • Operate club launch vessels safely and professionally in accordance with all U.S. Coast Guard regulations and club policies.
  • Transport members and guests to and from their moored vessels in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Assist with guests on moorings and fuel sales
  • Assist passengers safely during boarding and docking procedures.
  • Conduct daily inspections of launch vessels before service begins.
  • Complete daily operational logs, safety checklists, and inspection reports.
  • Assist with maintain club owned vessels and support boats owned by the club
  • Monitor the mooring field and surrounding waterfront areas during launch operations.
  • Assisting the Waterfront Director in managing the daily operations of the waterfront
  • Assist with dockside support when needed, including gangways and marina access points.
