What You'll Be Doing (The Role)
As our Dental Hygienist, you will serve as a vital guide in our patients' oral health journeys:
  • Laser Hygiene & Periodontal Therapy: Perform soft-tissue laser decontamination and non-surgical periodontal therapy utilizing laser technology.
  • Preventive Cleanings & Screenings: Conduct thorough prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, clinical exams, oral cancer screenings, and diagnostic imaging.
  • Patient Education & Care: Educate patients on home care routines, disease prevention, and treatment recommendations in a gentle, reassuring manner.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic patient records, charting, and periodontal scoring.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner closely with Dr. Lindsay, Dr. Smith, and our assistant team to ensure smooth daily schedule flow and excellent patient experiences.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Licensure & Certifications:
  • Active Arizona Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) License (Required)
  • Laser Certification / Soft-Tissue Diode Laser Certification (Required)
  • Active Arizona Local Anesthesia Certification (Required)
  • Active Arizona Nitrous Oxide Monitoring/Analgesia Certification (Preferred)
  • Active CPR/BLS Certification (Required)
Experience & Skill Requirements:
  • Experience: Open to experienced RDHs or skilled newly licensed hygienists with active laser and anesthesia credentials.
  • Clinical Skills: Proficient in soft-tissue laser therapy, local anesthesia administration, periodontal evaluations, scaling and root planing, and digital radiography.
  • Attributes: High reliability, warm chairside manner, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Availability: Able to work Thursdays and Fridays from 7:15 AM to 5:00 PM (with availability/interest in adding Mondays from 7:15 AM to 5:00 PM preferred).
