Position Summary:
Weโ€™re looking for a CNC Turret Operator to join our precision metal fabrication team on second shift. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC turret punch presses (Amada or similar) to produce high-quality sheet metal components. If youโ€™re motivated, detail-oriented, and take pride in turning flat sheet into precision parts, youโ€™ll fit right in.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC turret punch presses according to production schedules and part specifications.
  • Load and unload sheet metal, ensuring proper alignment and material handling.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and job travelers.
  • Verify part dimensions and quality using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Make machine adjustments and tool changes as required.
  • Inspect first-piece and in-process parts to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Perform basic maintenance and keep machines clean and in good working order.
  • Communicate issues or improvement ideas to the production supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace.

Required Qualifications:
Education amp; Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Skills amp; Competencies:
  • 1โ€“2 years of CNC turret punch experience (Amada preferred).
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand fabrication tolerances.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal types, gauges, and layouts.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail required.

Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to moderate noise, dust, and moving machinery.
  • Must adhere to all PPE and safety requirements.
  • Hours typically run from 4:00 PM โ€“ 2:30 AM, Monday through Thursday.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
