What is a laser medical spa?

A Laser Medical Spa, also known as a med spa or medical spa, is a facility that offers a combination of medical-grade aesthetic treatments and spa services, often under the supervision of a licensed medical professional. These spas specialize in procedures that use laser technology, such as laser hair removal, skin resurfacing, and treatment of pigmentation or vascular issues. Unlike traditional spas, Laser Medical Spas provide treatments that require advanced technology and expertise to ensure safety and effective results. They may also offer other non-invasive cosmetic procedures, like injectables and chemical peels, alongside traditional relaxation services.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a laser medical spa technician?

Professionals in a Laser Medical Spa typically spend their days consulting with clients, performing non-invasive laser treatments such as hair removal, skin rejuvenation, or pigmentation correction, and ensuring all procedures meet safety and regulatory standards. They also document client progress, maintain and calibrate laser equipment, and collaborate with other team members, such as aestheticians and medical directors, to provide comprehensive care. Customer service and education are key components, as staff often guide clients through pre- and post-treatment care and answer any questions about procedures.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a laser medical spa technician?

To thrive as a Laser Medical Spa Technician, you need a solid understanding of skin anatomy, laser safety, and cosmetic procedures, often supported by state licensure or certification in laser technology or aesthetics. Familiarity with various laser devices, patient management systems, and adherence to safety protocols are crucial. Exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude help build client trust and deliver personalized care. These competencies ensure safe, effective treatments and foster client satisfaction and loyalty in a competitive aesthetic industry.

About Us
At American Laser Med Spa, we provide "Confidence & Convenience" through the empowerment of transformation with precision and excellence! We have been a leader in the medical aesthetics industry for 18 years, with 5 locations in Texas where we offer results-driven, medical-grade aesthetic treatments such as Laser Hair Removal, CoolSculpting, Mesopen, and Ultrasonic Facials.
We're scaling rapidly and seek a Clinic Sales Manager to drive sales, lead a small team, and optimize operations with unmatched precision. If you are a competitive, results-oriented individual that would like the opportunity to take ownership and have a key role in a company's expansion- this is your chance!
Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve minimum of $40k/month sales through strategic consultations and upselling.
  • Perform Laser Hair Removal, CoolSculpting and all other procedures with technical precision.
  • Enforce protocols, streamline operations, and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Train and manage 1-2 LHR Technicians for upselling and service excellence.
  • Support marketing to boost leads and visibility.

What We Offer
  • $18/hour base + commission, with top earners exceeding $80k/year.
  • Full-time, 80 hours biweekly (Tuesday-Friday with alternating Mondays & Saturdays)
  • Benefits: 401(k), health/dental/vision, PTO, paid holidays, performance-based incentives, and deep employee discounts on all services after 90 days of employment.
  • Free medical aesthetic training and ongoing support in a results-driven culture.

Who SHOULD Apply?
  • Proven Closer: 2+ years in High Sales position, exceeding $30k/month sales.
  • Skilled Aesthetician: Expert in Laser Hair Removal and CoolSculpting.
  • Structured Leader: Thrives in protocol-driven, high-accountability settings.
  • Self-Starter: Aligns with leadership, committed to integrity.

Who Should NOT Apply?
  • If you avoid sales quotas or feel like sales approaches are "pushy".
  • If your only sales experience is retail/cashier/cosmetic based.
  • If you are not comfortable working closely with client's bodies in a medical manner, you won't succeed here.
  • If you prefer unstructured, low-pressure roles or you need excessive emotional support, this isn't for you.
  • If you do not meet the minimum sales experience requirements, please do not apply. This is not an entry-level esthetician position.
