Job description

Qualified Staffing is searching for an experienced Laser Machine Operator for a manufacturing company in Lithonia, GA.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position for someone with experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment and working with sheet metal.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $20-$25, based on experience

Responsibilities
 • Set up and operate CO2 and Fiber Optic laser cutting machines
 • Load programs and adjust machine settings based on material type, thickness, and job specifications
 • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
 • Load and unload sheet metal, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
 • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools
 • Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot cutting, material, or program issues
 • Make adjustments to cutting speeds, power settings, and gas flow as needed
 • Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning lenses and nozzles
 • Deburr, sand, or grind finished parts as needed
 • Maintain accurate production records and follow production schedules
 • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
 • Other duties as required

Qualifications
 • Previous CNC laser cutting experience preferred
 • Experience with Mitsubishi, Trumpf, Amada, Bystronic, or similar laser cutting equipment is highly valued
 • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
 • Experience using precision measuring tools
 • Basic CNC programming and machine troubleshooting skills
 • Knowledge of sheet metal, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
 • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
 • Forklift and material handling experience preferred
 • Reliable attendance and strong commitment to safety
 • High school diploma or GED required
