Job description

Summary of Position: The Large Format Print Operator is primarily responsible for operation and maintenance of large format print equipment for a wide variety of projects.

Training: Prior graphic design, prepress or printing experience a must. Additional Training will be provided on the job.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Daily set-up and operation of UV flatbeds or roll fed printers

· Ensure that all quality standards are met including color accuracy, client specification compliance, and image quality

· Keep media profiles up to date and accurate.

· Troubleshoot final print files prior to production

· RIP files for printing.

· Monitor jobs while printing.

· Clean substrates before printing if needed.

· Check inventory levels on substrates and inks.

· Perform basic equipment maintenance, and assist department manager in scheduling outside service calls as needed
