Job description

Job Title: Sales Representative (Large Format) 

Reports To: District Sales Manager 

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Classification: Full Time 

Job Summary: The Large Format Sales Representative will be responsible for the outside sales and marketing of all brands while managing aggressive merchandising and rotation of all Southern Crown products in assigned Grocery Store accounts. The Sales Representative will use their determination and drive to capitalize on sales opportunities and successfully reach sales goals. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • None 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for all sales, merchandising, rotation, and backstock in assigned geographic territory.  
  • Responsible for growth and strengthening retailer relations and customer satisfaction.  
  • Presenting authorized decision makers with factual sales data and periodic business reviews. 
  • Maintaining account rapport, case sales replenishment and growth, quality assurance of products, and follow-up communication.  
  • Responsible for effective planning and execution of sales promotions and coordinating the placement of appropriate P.O.S. 
  • Partner and communication with dedicated Service Representative and District Sales manager account. as necessary.  
  • Manage overall customer relationship experience i.e. informing customers of any products and future pricing variations, resolve customer complaints and listening to suggestions. 
  • Achieve all assigned sales goals i.e. quotas, volume, distribution, promotions, weekly and monthly objectives for Grocery team. 
  • Use proper rotation techniques, remove any out-of-code or damaged packages from shelves or display and re-pack products, as necessary.  
  • Maintaining organized and clean back-room space, accurate pricing of product, while following to store procedures for cardboard and plastic disposal.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 


Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and maintaining quality standards of products by rotation. 
  • Ability to solve practical problems.  
  • Ability to work in a friendly manner as part of a team and to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.  
  • Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.  
  • Ability to be punctual in meeting route scheduling and pay attention to detail. 
  • Intermediate computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel. 
  • Represents SCP's commitment to excellence through PARTNERS values. 
  • Possesses a valid driver's license in the state of residence while maintaining a good driving record. 

Education/Experience: 

  • Minimum 1-3 years sales experience in beverage distribution or related experience. 
  • Merchandising experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.   
  • Administrative and sitting 40%  
  • Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and twisting 60%
