Job description

Sign Fabrication

The position is part of our sign fabrication department. Channel letter and 3d lighted signs are produced and then we also have an install team that takes care of all created sign installations.  We also have vehicle wraps and Vinyl signs that are produced and installed for customers.  This role is being able to help with graphic design, producing on a variety of substrates and then installing

Responsibilities

  • Perform finishing operations such as trimming, mounting, and laminating to prepare prints for installation.
  • Installation sign jobs throughout Utah.  There may be some overnight and multi-day travel will be required.
  • Coordinate with sales team, center manager, and clients to ensure installations meet their specifications and timelines.
  • Manage on-site installation challenges with efficient, cost-effective problem-solving skills and professionalism.
  • Maintain tools and equipment for installation, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and installation techniques.
  • Set up machines, equipment, and work area before production runs, ensuring that they are calibrated, functioning properly, and able to meet the needs of the job.
  • Monitor machines during production runs, checking for any issues or malfunctions and adjusting/repairing as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and other workers.
  • Follow production schedules and workflows to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve their skills and knowledge of machines and equipment.
  • Perform primary task as well as other tasks assigned as business requires, including (but not limited to) customer service, bindery, digital printing, shop maintenance and cleaning, answering phones, data entry, deliveries, etc..

Work Schedules and Arrangements

  • Onsite position
  • Hourly position
  • Wage Range - $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience. 
    • We are looking for specific installation and large format, graphics and or sign experience.  We want to hire someone that already has the skill and experience rather than hire someone without specific experience that needs to be trained from the ground up.  
  • Typical hours (subject to change given varying production/installation needs, including occasional Saturdays, early mornings, and late nights)
  • 8am-5pm Monday through Friday
