Speech-Language Pathologist (Northern Quebec) Employment conditions: Willing to work in the area mentioned and ideally owns a means of transport. Full-time / Part-time – Variable shift Salary: Up to $85/contract plus other benefits (bonuses, transportation reimbursement, continuing education plan, etc.) Job description: We are looking for Speech-Language Pathologists to work with children, adolescents, adults and seniors in various settings, including rehabilitation centres, schools, CLSCs, CHSLDs, hospitals, specialized clinics, community organizations and home services. The professional assesses, diagnoses and treats communication, language, speech, voice and swallowing disorders in order to promote autonomy, social integration and quality of life of users. Main responsibilities: Assess oral and written language, speech, voice and communication disorders. Assess for swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) when required. Develop, implement and monitor speech therapy intervention plans. To offer individual or group interventions tailored to the needs of the clientele. Recommend appropriate communication strategies and support tools. Supporting families, caregivers and stakeholders in implementing the recommendations. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for users. Participate in prevention, awareness and communication health promotion activities. Prepare assessment reports, intervention plans and progress notes in accordance with professional standards. Ensure that files are kept in compliance with confidentiality and Law 25. Requirements: Master's degree in speech therapy. Member in good standing of the Quebec Order of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Experience with one or more client groups (early childhood, school, adult, geriatrics, rehabilitation or mental health) is an asset. Knowledge of recognized assessment tools and intervention approaches. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team. Organizational skills, professionalism, and clinical judgment. Proficiency in spoken and written French. Driver's license and vehicle (an asset depending on the mandates).
