Position Summary
This position will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator within the Department of Radiology, Epidemiology Research Team (ERT) Lung Cancer Screening Group. The Research Assistant assists with the execution of study protocols, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting, entering, and reviewing study data.
Primary Responsibility: Completing electronic health record abstraction from collaborating facilities in an efficient, effective, and timely manner
Additional tasks and project activities may include:
  • Document study-related processes and procedures including development of SOPs as needed
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures for data collection tasks
  • Generate reports and critically evaluate data for quality purposes
  • Document and report data issues to the supervisor in a timely manner
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans for data issues in a timely manner
  • Perform literature reviews and searches
  • Communicate with team members and collaborating facilities in a professional, efficient, effective, and timely manner at all times
  • Participate and present in study team and Epidemiology Research Team meetings

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
Preferred candidates will have experience using Epic and REDCap.

Special Physical/Mental Requirements
This position is almost entirely computer based. Candidates should be able to work effectively from a computer and in front of a screen for extended periods of time, with or without accommodation.
