Job description

At Houston Methodist, the Marketing Technology (MarTech) Product Strategist position is responsible for technical campaign execution and deployments related to assigned digital products. This position utilizes strategic planning and technical administrative skills to coordinate product deliverables for a specified digital product. This position provides product support within digital tools and integrations to increase consumer and patient engagement, drive volume, and improve experiences.
The MarTech Product Strategist utilizes proficiency in assigned digital products, contributes to strategic plans, supports project management of enhancements and implementations, and activates digital campaigns and digital programming within the product and tools as an active user.
This position is responsible for the coordination and planning for product and experience implementations, enhancements, and maintenance in alignment with business priorities and service line goals as well as the administration of product capabilities.
For this role, the assigned digital product is the Houston Methodist web presence - serving patients and caregivers seeking care, physicians and referring providers accessing clinical resources, and researchers and academics engaging with one of the nation's leading academic medical centers. This position is well-suited for someone with a background in UX/UI design for web and mobile experiences who is comfortable designing, building, and launching digital experiences within an enterprise CMS environment (Sitecore experience valued; Adobe AEM and WordPress backgrounds also translate well).
Day-to-day, this role spans the full web experience lifecycle - from wireframing and UX design through CMS page and component builds, QA, launch, and ongoing optimization. Adobe Creative Suite proficiency and a working knowledge of HTML/CSS complement the design and build work. A background in web design, digital design principles, and web best practices is a strong plus. While design sensibility is valued, this role centers on building and launching within established brand and template frameworks - candidates who are equally comfortable in execution-focused, CMS-driven environments alongside design will be most successful. Equally important is contributing to content governance, process documentation, and ADA/WCAG accessibility standards that keep the Houston Methodist web presence consistent, compliant, and high quality.
Collaboration is woven into every part of this role - working daily alongside editorial, creative, analytics, product management, IT developers, and marketing stakeholders to connect design intent with technical delivery. This person translates visual concepts and stakeholder needs into functional requirements and developer-ready specifications, while championing SEO, WCAG/ADA accessibility, and Houston Methodist brand standards across every experience. Analytics and user testing insights shape a continuous loop of performance evaluation and improvement. Experience in healthcare, eCommerce, or similarly regulated digital environments is a plus.
