Job description

Job Description
The Foreman in Training (FIT) role is a hands-on position to learn from and assist the Crew Leader with managing the operations
of all assigned jobsites. Areas of foreman training include landscape installation, irrigation system installation, management of
subcontractors and performing certain planning, administrative and regulatory functions. The site supervisor will read job plans
and specifications to install materials consistent with those specifications as well as Bland Landscaping Company criteria.
Responsibilities:
Included but are not limited to:
• Assisting the Crew Leader with supervision and training of assigned installation crews on all aspects of
landscape construction and installation services as well as promoting safe working practices.
• Assist Crew Leader with execution of the contracted scope of landscape enhancement and installation
projects.
• Read and execute job plans per specification for the contracted scope.
• Install plantings, lawns, irrigation, and hardscapes.
• Digging, tilling, planting, raking, watering, and clean-up of landscapes.
• Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
• Bagged and Bulk Material handling
• Assist Crew Leader with scheduling of daily work assignments.
• Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day.
• Participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
• Assist with Administrative Paperwork as needed.
• Truck and Trailer standardization and cleanliness
• Use of assigned company technology for communication
• Daily start up and shut down procedures.
• Job quality oversight.
• Hours management
• Safe driving of company-owned vehicles (with & without trailers)
• Ability to adjust irrigation controllers and basic knowledge of operation.
• Maintain on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Safe operation and maintenance of equipment
