Job Overview:
As the Landscaper you will perform general landscaping tasks including grounds clean up, mowing grass, maintaining gardens and other general duties to ensure the overall community landscaping is designed and maintained properly. 
 
Compensation: $18 – $20 per hour, depending on experience  
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
 
Your Responsibilities: 
  • Perform general landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, edging around trees and maintaining walkways to promote plant health throughout the community
  • Maintain the exterior of buildings by keeping landscaped areas clean, safe, and visually appealing
  • Clear debris from driveways, walkways, and common areas to maintain safe conditions
  • Plant and care for decorative bushes, flowers, plants and shrubs to ensure proper growth and health
  • Prune trees and shrubs to remove overgrowth and maintain a well-manicured appearance
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides as needed to promote healthy lawns, plants and trees
  • Monitor, adjust and repair irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, valves and timers to ensure efficient water usage and prevent waste
  • Inspect irrigation lines for leaks or blockages and make necessary repairs
  • Assist with unloading supplies and equipment during vendor deliveries
  • Keep work areas clean and organized for safety and efficiency
  • Sharpen and maintain landscaping tools, including weed cutters, edging tools and shears
  • Clean, maintain and properly store all landscaping and irrigation equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of general landscaping methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to landscaping
  • Able to use tools, equipment, and chemicals properly and safely 
  • Must be a team player
  • Superior manual dexterity skills
  • Organized, with the ability to prioritize and adjust to incoming demands 
Education and Experience: 
  • Prior landscaping experience (required)   
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Work will be primarily outdoors
Work Location: Surprise, AZ
Work Hours: Monday – Friday; Summer hours are 4:30a – 1:30p, Winter hours are 6a – 2:30p
