Job description

Work for a fun landscape, green roof, and green wall construction company!

This is a full-time seasonal (March through November) position in Glenview, IL. We are seeking a hardworking and dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team. You will perform a variety of physical duties to create and maintain beautiful, healthy outdoor environments for our residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate is a team player who is reliable, physically fit, and takes pride in their work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lawn care: Mow, edge, and trim turf using power and hand tools
  • Planting & Cultivation: Plant decorative bushes, flowers, trees, and shrubs; spread mulch, topsoil, and fertilizers.
  • Pruning & Weeding: Trim overgrown limbs, hedges, and shrubs, and routinely remove weeds and dead plants.
  • Property Clean-Up: Rake leaves, clear debris, and remove litter from lawns and walkways.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate commercial landscaping machinery (mowers, trimmers, blowers). Perform basic preventative maintenance and report malfunctions.
  • Job Site Safety: Strictly adhere to company safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Experience & Qualifications

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift/move up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Working Conditions: Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various Chicago-area weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
  • Reliability: Valid driver’s license with a clean record is strongly preferred. Reliable transportation to and from the worksite is required.
  • Communicate effectively; Bilingual Spanish & English is a plus
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in landscaping or grounds-keeping is preferred, but entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic are welcome to apply.
