Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Lead a Professional Landscape Maintenance Crew
ND Landscape Services has provided professional landscape maintenance, landscape construction and snow management services throughout the North Shore and Metro North area since 1980.
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Foreman to lead a crew responsible for detailed property care at high-quality residential and commercial properties.
This role primarily focuses on planting-bed maintenance, pruning, seasonal cleanups, mulching, plant installations, landscape enhancements and overall property presentation.
The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on leader who can organize a crew, maintain productivity and ensure that every property is completed to ND Landscape's quality standards.
Compensation
  • $24.00-$30.00 per hour
  • Pay based on leadership experience, landscape knowledge, plant identification, pruning ability, equipment skills and driving experience

The higher end of the pay range is intended for candidates who can independently manage a crew, organize daily routes, communicate professionally with clients and supervisors, and consistently deliver high-quality work.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and work alongside a landscape maintenance crew
  • Review daily work orders and organize the crew
  • Assign tasks and maintain efficient production throughout the day
  • Perform spring and fall property cleanups
  • Maintain planting beds at residential and commercial properties
  • Weed, edge and redefine landscape beds
  • Install mulch, soil and other landscape materials
  • Prune shrubs, ornamental plants and small trees
  • Deadhead, divide and cut back perennials
  • Complete seasonal flower, shrub and plant installations
  • Identify plant-health concerns and report property issues
  • Operate blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning equipment and other professional landscape tools
  • Train crew members on proper landscape-maintenance techniques
  • Track employee time, materials and work completed
  • Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain clean, safe and organized trucks, trailers and jobsites
  • Communicate professionally with account managers, clients and other team members
  • Assist with snow and ice operations during the winter season
Leadership Responsibilities
As a Landscape Maintenance Foreman, you will be responsible for:
  • Setting the pace and expectations for the crew
  • Ensuring daily work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Coaching and developing crew members
  • Maintaining professional behavior at client properties
  • Protecting company tools, equipment, vehicles and materials
  • Identifying additional work or enhancement opportunities
  • Reporting property concerns, damage or client requests
  • Following company systems, procedures and safety standards
  • Ensuring each property meets ND Landscape's quality expectations before leaving the site
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Professional landscape maintenance, gardening or groundskeeping experience
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a landscape crew
  • Knowledge of shrubs, perennials and basic plant-care practices
  • Experience pruning shrubs and ornamental plants
  • Experience with seasonal cleanups, mulching and planting-bed maintenance
  • Ability to organize a crew and complete daily work orders efficiently
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Experience safely driving a truck and landscape trailer
  • Reliable transportation to our Georgetown location
  • Strong attendance, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Ability to work additional hours during busy seasons and winter storms
  • Ability to perform the essential physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

The position may include extended periods of standing and walking, as well as bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling and handling landscape tools and materials.
Preferred Qualifications - Not Required
  • Three or more years of professional landscape maintenance experience
  • Strong knowledge of plant identification and proper pruning practices
  • Experience training and developing crew members
  • Experience reading and completing work orders through mobile software
  • Experience performing landscape enhancements and plant installations
  • Snowplowing or snow-removal experience
  • Massachusetts Hoisting License

Applicants with experience in landscaping, estate gardening, grounds maintenance, golf course maintenance, horticulture, property maintenance or related outdoor trades are encouraged to apply.
