Job description

As a Landscape Construction Foreman, you'll lead a small crew building outdoor landscaping projects from the ground up on the North Oregon Coast. You and your team will construct patios, retaining walls, steps, paths, water features, and irrigation systems, and install plantings that finish the job. This role suits an experienced landscape construction leader who wants steady, year-round work close to the coast, a team to develop, and the satisfaction of seeing finished projects take shape from start to finish. You'll operate a range of landscape and construction equipment, with safety as the top priority on every site.

What You'll Do
  • Lead landscape construction projects from start to finish with minimal oversight
  • Install landscapes according to project plans, scope of work, and contract specifications
  • Supervise the daily activities of crew members and leads, including training and ensuring safe working conditions
  • Communicate material and labor needs to keep projects on schedule
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager, sales staff, and customers as needed
  • Submit accurate job paperwork and documentation in a timely manner
  • Document job progress with before, during, and after project photos
  • Support the pre-bid process and participate in divisional training

Work Schedule and Environment

To Be Considered for This Position, You'll Need
  • 3+ years of landscape construction experience in a supervisory role required
  • Ability to install pavers, walls, drainage, irrigation, lighting systems, and water features with minimal supervision
  • Experience operating landscape equipment: skid steers, trenchers, saws, plate compactors, sod cutters, and power tools
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and squat
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
