Job description

Your Opportunity as a Marketing Intern
As an intern within our Marketing department, you will evaluate data and business trends and communicate those insights to the core business team. You will execute specifically requested analyses via syndicated data (Circana & Internal Sales systems) and provide the "story," not just the data, to managers and supervisors. You will also complete an in-depth study of an industry topic, and present out to the broader organization, leaning on strong data points to deliver a recommendation/path forward.
Location: Orrville, OH
Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires
In this role you will have the opportunity to be on one of the teams below:
Brand Marketing
  • Work directly on JMS brands to execute projects and develop the long-term trajectory of the brand.

  • Balance the analytical analysis of the business with creative growth strategies by leveraging all different marketing tactics.

Brand Experience
  • Partner with our internal center of excellence and Brand Marketing teams as well as external agency partners to deliver consumer engagement programs utilizing data, content, technology, creative and media strategies.

  • Work to provide input into critical campaign briefs, integrated experience mapping, and related tactical plans/deployment.

Innovation
  • Lean in on consumer trends to create the next new item in our portfolio that will drive growth for both JMS and the categories we play in.

  • You will start from a concept and work across teams to bring the item to life, all while keeping the consumer at the core of the proposition & brand's long term strategy top of mind.

Integrated Media
  • Help plan and build media strategies, utilizing data, technology, and knowledge of the modern media landscape.

  • Collaborate across the marketing and brand teams to bring to life and realize our business and communication goals.

SEED and Creative & Design
  • Leverage data to be a strong partner to both the brand and customer teams, as you create actionable insights to deliver category growth.

  • Focus on data and creative solutions to ensure that the categories JMS plays in drive success.

  • Capitalize on trends & ensure JMS and market is well positioned.

Insights & Market Intelligence
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing consumer, market, and competitive data to uncover trends and provide recommendations that support business growth.

  • Create reports and presentations that summarize key insights from research, helping cross-functional teams make informed marketing, innovation, and commercialization decisions

What we are looking for:
  • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing in school with requisite educational experience in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, Entrepreneurship, Graphic Design or another related field

  • A well-rounded skill set including strong critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and project management skills as well as an interest in data visualization, analytics, and finding innovative solutions to complex business questions.
