Administrative Assistant | Town of Danvers
The Town of Danvers welcomes applications for the full-time benefited position of Administrative Assistant with the Land Use and Community Services (LUCS) Division. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for Town staff - including a commitment to professional development and policies to support a good work/life balance. This position requires a professional demeanor with exceptional organizational skills and performs a variety of administrative, operational, and secretarial functions in direct support of the Director of Land Use & Community Services, the staff, services, programs, and activities of the Land Use and Community Services Division.
The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, education, volunteerism, and transferable skills as qualifying, unless otherwise designated as required. Minimum qualifications: Associate's degree and five (5) to seven (7) years of professional administrative assistant experience or municipal office experience strongly preferred, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with Munis is strongly preferred. Experience supporting websites preferred. Notary Public preferred. Valid driver's license. Must be fully committed to providing service excellence to every person who visits, works, or resides in the Town of Danvers by embodying the organization's five core values: inclusion, integrity, accountability, positivity, and collaboration.
This position works 35 hours per week. Monday-Wednesday 8am-4pm, Thursday 8am-7pm and Friday 8am-12pm. This is a non-union position (Grade 11) pay scale starting at $39.92 hourly, with the ability to move through scale (via step system) to the max step at $49.50/hourly. Hiring rate DOQ. Excellent benefits.
