What are land drilling rigs?

Land drilling rigs are large mechanical structures and equipment used to drill wells into the earth’s surface, typically to extract oil, natural gas, or water. Unlike offshore rigs, these rigs operate on solid ground and can vary in size and complexity, from small, mobile units to massive, stationary installations. Land drilling rigs include all the necessary components for drilling, such as the derrick, drill string, power systems, and mud circulation systems. They play a crucial role in the energy industry by enabling access to underground reservoirs of oil and gas. Their design and operation are adapted to be efficient and safe in a variety of terrains and environmental conditions.
