Ira Green, Buena Vista (formerly Sayre Enterprises) offers two options for 1st shift. 4/ 10 hour days, Monday-Thursday, 6Am-4:30PM OR 5/ 8 hour days, Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM.
JOB TITLE: Cutter / Laminator Operator
DEPARTMENT: Cut/LaminateDepartment
REPORTS TO: Cut/Laminate Department Supervisor
HOURLY RATE: $15.25
SUMMARY: Performs manual labor in a production environment to cut, trim, laminate and perform final inspection of items being processed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work as part of a production team.
  • Receive production work to be processed and keep track of daily production.
  • Pick up, move, sort and place material or items on tables, racks or bins.
  • Use manual and electric scissors, fabric cutter, die clicker, and manual hot blade cutter to cut patches and similar items.
  • Cut material, vinyl, and use machinery to laminate items as part of production.
  • Perform quality control to meet specifications of product.
  • Pay attention to the quality of both the starting product and the finished product.
  • Use heat gun to remove extraneous thread and material as part of quality control.
  • Operate a lifting jack to move material bolts from shelf to table.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required
  • Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
  • Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects.
  • Must be able to continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and have discernment for colors and detail.
  • Must be able to count, use and read standard measurements and have good eye-hand coordination.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Continually required to sit, stand and walk for 8 hours, and up to 4 hours as needed for business needs.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Continually required to talk, hear and visually see and focus on items during production process, including but not limited to color, peripheral and depth perception and adjust focus.
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read information, and have discernment for colors and detail.
  • Must be able to push, move and lift up to 60 lbs.
