Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to assist with the upkeep and maintenance of Lambs Farm's buildings and grounds. In this hands-on role, you will perform various repairs, assist in maintaining a safe environment, and help ensure that all facilities and equipment function properly. This position requires someone with experience in building maintenance and groundskeeping who is capable of working independently and in all weather conditions.


The Role

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs in plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry, and painting across all facilities
  • Maintain the campus grounds, including landscaping, tree and shrub care, lawn mowing, and snow and ice removal from roads and walkways
  • Diagnose and address emergency repairs, especially in adverse weather conditions
  • Ensure all equipment used for groundskeeping and repairs is maintained and in working order
  • Respond to and complete maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Follow safety procedures and participate in required safety training
  • Assist with setup and support for special events as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (trade school/apprenticeship a plus)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, snow removal, and building maintenance
  • Experience in carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs
  • Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is a plus
  • Physically capable of performing tasks that require bending, lifting, and walking, with the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including accurate typing, navigating websites, entering and recalling data, using word processors and spreadsheet software, managing emails, and familiarity with digital communication etiquette and techniques
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Ability to work independently and handle extreme weather conditions
Compensation

The hourly rate for this role is $19.00 per hour
