Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Systems Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the security industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial and residential security systems, and related low-voltage systems. The candidate must be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. Must live in the Chicago Area
Responsibilities
  • Install, program, service, and troubleshoot residential and commercial security systems. 
  • Install and maintain intrusion alarm systems and related low-voltage equipment. 
  • Diagnose and repair equipment, wiring, and communication issues.  
  • Complete service reports, work orders, and installation documentation accurately. 
  • Ensure all installations comply with company standards
  • Coordinate with customers, contractors, and project managers as needed. 
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in a professional manner. 
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience installing and servicing security systems. 
  • Experience with both commercial and residential security systems. 
  • Knowledge on Alarm.com, DSC, Qolsys, Honeywell, Elk similar platforms is preferred. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
  • Valid driver's license with 
  • Ability to pass a background check. 
  • Work on ladders and physical labor 
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. 
  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments. 
  • Ability to crawl, kneel, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
