Job Description

$28.00/hour - 20 hours/week

The WIC Program is seeking a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to assist WIC mothers and infants with complex breastfeeding problems that are outside the scope of practice of WIC peer counselors and other WIC staff.

EDUCATION: Must possess the following licensures/accreditation:

  • Must have IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) accreditation

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 1 year of experience in counseling breastfeeding mother/infant dyads.
  • Experience working with lower socio-economic status breastfeeding mothers and infants who experience complex breastfeeding challenges
