Job description

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC), the Technical Center, the Research and Technology Directorate (RTD), Multifunction RF Technologies Branch (MFRF). We are looking for an engineer with expertise in simulation and/or emulation of DoD systems, with a special focus on modeling electromagnetic code. The candidate will work with a team of engineers to manage medium- and high-fidelity component and subsystem models. Activities will include analysis and interpretation of technical documentation, interface documentation and hardware to facilitate component and subsystem modeling. Duties will include coordination across multiple teams for planning, execution, and regular reporting of emerging and final MS&A results.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another relevant technical field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of applicable experience in development of simulation models, infrastructure, analyses, or related technical work
  • Experience with physics applications, especially electromagnetic code
  • Experience in developing simulation-based analysis briefs for government customers
  • Experience in simulation verification, validation, and accreditation planning and execution
  • Experience with at least one computer-in-the-loop (CIL), software-in-the-loop (SWIL) and/or hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) system
  • Active Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another relevant technical field
  • Experience in the development and programming of mathematical models to represent actual system or subsystem hardware and/or environment
  • Experience with developing/maintaining a simulation framework
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools and use cases as well as applications of various numerical boundary conditions
  • Experience programming in C++, Python, Ansys HFSS, ADS, LTSpice, LabVIEW, MATLAB
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
