Job Title: Engineering Technician C - Test

Job Schedule: 4/10: Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a week

Job Description:

L3Harris is searching for talented Engineering Test Technicians to join the L3Harris team testing modules and chassis. The candidate will be responsible for executing Circuit Card Assembly as well as Top Level Functional, Thermal/Vibration tests and Final Acceptance Tests on deliverable hardware.

ย 

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or schematics to perform work duties
  • Work under limited supervision using a prescribed set of processes and procedures
  • Work directly with engineers optimizing test processes and procedures
  • Component level troubleshooting
  • Operated Test equipment, including Thermotron chambers, Vibration research controller, Labview and Test Stand. Efficient with use of DMM, Oscilloscope and other measuring tools relevant to troubleshooting
  • Lean, continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficient in communicating relevant details of work-related findings for continuous product improvements to include written reports
  • Follow safety guidelines
  • Work well in individual and team environment
  • Ability to obtain US Government Clearance

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of electronic principles and the ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
  • Possess a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Windows and Office)
  • Professional attitude and excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Ability to work occasional weekend, off-shift, and overtime work.
